We Used Our Own Rentals for Our Wedding, Here’s Why
When you work in events, you see everything. The good, the chaotic, the beautifully executed - and the moments that miss the mark! So when it came time to plan our own wedding, the bar was already set high.
Naturally, we turned to what we know best, ourselves!
From our own inventory we selected pieces of our vintage furniture, small items of material culture, and designed special visual elements throughout our wedding day. They were used, not as a marketing moment, but as a genuine vote of confidence in our style, the pieces we source & the style expertise we offer our customers everyday.

Designing a Wedding That Felt Intentional
Our vintage-luxe wedding venue (Lochwood Manor) was naturally beautiful and didn’t require much decor. The goal wasn’t to over-style the space but to be intentional about every piece we added. We wanted the day to feel warm and loving, while transporting guests into another era centered by our love.
Every piece served a purpose, both visually and experientially. The vintage lounge seating created a quiet gathering space away from the dance floor, velvet textures added softness and ornate details gave depth without feeling overdone.
It reinforced something we’ve always believed: rentals aren’t just functional. The right pieces shape how people move, gather, and remember an event.
Emerald green velvet settee, vintage typewriter, hi-top tables, cylinder vases, & linens, orange velvet parlor chairs.
Planned our wedding, hired a Coordinator!
While we planned our own wedding, we hired a “day-of coordinator” (The Pike Philly) who worked with us for 6-8 weeks before the wedding to ensure we could be present the day of our wedding. We worked closely with the coordinator on logistics, developing timelines, managing vendors, and supporting transitions. Although we were capable of planning and coordinating our wedding, that capacity often does not translate into joy. On one’s wedding day we strongly recommend hiring a coordinator so that the couple’s focus can be on each other and the experience of the day.
When couples and hosts trust us with their events, whether it’s wedding coordinating or event rentals, they’re trusting us with something meaningful. Being on the other side of that process deepened our commitment to thoughtful planning, strong communication, and problem-solving before couples and guests ever notice an issue.

From Personal Milestone to Professional Standard
Using our own inventory for one of the most important days of our lives wasn’t about convenience, it was about trust. We know how these pieces photograph. We know how they hold up. We know how they make people feel.
That same standard extends to everything we do, including our newest offering, Kings’ Cup Mobile Bar, where design, presentation, and guest experience matter just as much as what’s being poured.

What This Means for YOUR Event
Whether you’re planning a wedding, milestone celebration, or private gathering, our approach is simple:
Curated pieces that elevate the space
Coordination that keeps things flowing
Services we genuinely trust enough to use ourselves
If you’re planning an event in 2026 and want it to feel intentional, comfortable, and well-executed, we’d love to help bring your vision to life with our rentals, mobile bartending, or coordination services.
Let’s design something memorable.
